River Passage

Buckland Valley, North Eastern Victoria

Not sure if this is 'on topic' It is a passage way through the rocks and its where I've been for the past few days.
This is my son walking down the stream. trying his hand at fly fishing for trout.
I didn't have the heart to tell him that trout can see his bright red top and make for cover?

Thanks Melanie and Nico, I looked at this again (been a bit hectic here for the past week) and I agree, checked the card and found better shots. Here is one with a bonus friendly critter onlooker!

Don't be afraid to comment and suggest changes, I appreciate constructive criticism, I need that to improve my photography. Thanks Nico. ~ Regards, Bob

Lovely photograph, Sir! It makes me want to escape the city and the rat-race and become a professional fly-fisher! If I may be to bold as to offer a suggestion: the person's red shirt is of course quite eye-catching and then also putting the person right in the centre of the shot, make him appear too dominating (to me at least). I think it might have worked better if the composition was more off-centred, so that the scenery plays a stronger role? Trust this is as constructively received as intended. Regards ~jnconradie

Beautiful natural passageway. Rivers and streams are some of the most natural and necessary passageways on earth, so I would certainly consider it on-topic :). --Melanie

Woops? thought I'd filled out the name... must be tired after a few days in the bush.... Nope... he did not hook one but enjoyed learning to fly fish. I enjoyed spending time with him, we can't do that much because he lives in Germany.

I'll take it off, just wanted to see if this pushed the boundary too far. Thanks for commenting.. Regards, Bob

Not strictly a road, path or passage but I'm no stranger to bending things. On/off topic??? - the voters will have the last word. The title was just a seed to get people thinking.

I guess he didn't catch anything then???
