This monument was erected at the Manzanar relocation camp at Manzanar, CA. This is a very isolated area off of Rte 395 on the way to Bishop. The camp is well worth a visit for those passing that way. The word Manzanar means Apple Orchard, which is what this site was prior to its being turned into a relocation camp early in WWII
