The scratches in the metal make for a great background texture. The spider looks like the ones you see in magazines where bits start to fall off you when you get bitten. Maye he had a taste of his own medicine. Excellent capture. - Najinsky

I too thought at first there were two stuck together, but then I saw that it was coming out of the wrong part of his head. ~ Lonnit

A mere reflection my friends, a mere reflection. (A check on other closeup views proved it.) LOL shu

Hey! Wait a minute!! I'll go in to PS and enlarge to see exactly what's what. Be Back shortly.......shu

Actually, if you look closely, I an not sure that a left front leg is missing. I believe the two are stuck together...see the silver sliver of color between them? Victor is the "Eagle Eye,"...but Traveller, Traveller will always tell you the truth...lol Best Wishes, T

Sharon--I was squeamish about photographing it. I had my macro so close I was sure he would come alive and jump up and do who knows what to me! I was even more repelled when Victor noticed a front leg m i s s i n g !!! If photos should evoke emotion, well this does it for some. LOL shu

Shu, I am both attracted and repelled by this. On the one hand, it is a wonderful photo, the drops and the silver background complementing the colors and detail of the spider beautifully. The composition is perfect. On the other hand, it is a spider! Yikes! Well done! ~Sharon

I never would have guessed this was yours Shu but if anyone can make a spider composition beautiful, it would be you! CJ

... and here I was naively associating you with beautiful, serene, artistic, water reflections, glass abstracts and the like ... ! :-) What a great (and simplistic) capture of the everyday harsh realities of life! Compliments. Regards ~jnconradie
