Wow! Really deserving of all the compliments already posted. Beautiful and as simplistic as one could hope for. Excellent. ~jnconradie

Thanks for the tip. This place must be about a 2-hr drive for me. Now I can put in on my list of great places to photograph! shu

Thanks for all the nice comments. If anyone is in the Hudson Valley (halfway between NYC and Albany), you really should check out Storm King. It's a mountaintop arts center with enormous sculptures by world-famous artists that are displayed all over the grounds. You can wander around and get the most wonderful photos. I have a gallery on my pbase site that I took in just a few hours. I hope to get back there at different times of the year (I'm not sure if they are open winters).

Epitome of simple! As Sharon said, the soft wheel lines disappearing over the hill make his image totally appealing IMO. Even the sky cooperates with the theme. Just lovely! shu

Agree with Thomas, it has a calm and peaceful feel to it [aam1234]

What is it about a lone tree that's so attractive? I don't know, but I also like this type of shot. It definitely has a calming, peaceful "feel". Nice composition.

A classic shot, Paul! I like the hint of a road leading to the tree. ~Sharon

I really like these "lone tree" images when I see them. I've not yet been successful finding my own "lone tree" to photograph :-( I think this image is screaming for B & W treatment (*) but that's just my personal opinion, the image looks great the way it is too! Markjay
