Eldorado

I'm not sure if this is simple enough. It would have been better (I think) without the logo.

Hope you have the original Thomas because this is really good. Love the cloud, good touch [aam1234]

Very effective Thomas, I like your composition. It gets a little more difficult to remove compression artifacts like this without being a little drastic, but I use 'Fixerlabs" noise fixer mostly and it is very effective on chrominance and luminance noise but not so much on this type. Regards ~ Bob (ps.. love your story on my 'Citylink' gallery pic. Thanks for posting)

Okay, I think I know what happened now that you mentioned it. It was a low quality jpeg first saved at a #5 setting. I then re-processed the image and re-saved it, again at #5. Thanks for the insight and advice. – Tom

Great composition. This file is very small (32 kB); if the artifacts are not present in the original picture, they are caused by excessive jpg compression in the uploaded file and can be reduced by saving the file with a higher jpg quality setting. Otherwise, i. e. if compression is not the reason, you can use Neat Image or some other noise reducing software in order to get rid of the artifacts without affecting sharpness. -Gerald

Thomas, I think the logo adds to the image, and that little cloud is the perfect finish. However, I'm bothered by the noise/artifacts in the solid areas, esp. in the sky. Was this photo scanned? I get the same effects in many of my scanned photos, and I don't know how to avoid or correct them. Maybe someone else here could give some suggestions.
