For lack of a better title :) This seemed to me like the bullet effect they showed in the movie matrix when Neo was getting shot at.

Very high tech. Just wondering why iso400? Perhaps to add texture? ~kt

Thanks again Nico for the wonderful words!
Thanks Jason and Najinsky!
Jason, I had something in mind on these lines and I was trying out with various things like fork, comb, hair brush, etc. Didn't like what I was getting until I located this little thing.

Awesome, but how in the world did you think of this? I've got a bunch of them in my drawer but never would have thought they'd reflect in this way. Did you expect the effect you see in the photo?

Thanks, Cat. Thanks for solving the mystery. Compliments yet again on a great photograph! If a photography handbooks needs a picture to explain "bokeh", they can use this example with pleasure. Regards ~jnconradie

Thank you all for looking and commenting! I am really glad you all liked it.
Nico and Doc, this is an aluminum heat sink plate for a HP RISC processor about 3"X4" and has 1/2" tall teeth like projections all over the surface. I took the photo by the shorter edge looking into it length wise from the top. Its backlit to get the refections.

backplane connectors? Doctah
jnconradie08-Nov-2006 06:33
Wow! I am very impressed. Bokeh circles nicely increasing in radius towards the back. This is probably a highly "stupid" question, but what is it that you photographed? Compliments and regards ~jnconradie
