Peacock attack

Melbourne Parkland

This is as shot today, only downsized for web.
I was lucky to escape with only minor abrasions! Scary critters!
The purple is a bit subtle but if you look closely... it is there!

That dude does look kind of mean! The composition and cropping came out just great on this. The sharpness on the face and head of the bird and the softer look to the feathers in the background are great. I like the placement of those "eyes" in the plumage back there. Heal up soon :) Jim H.

Wonderful peacock image and a funny story too - he does look mad at you! CJ

Nice shot. Great detail on the face. He certainly looks disgruntled! It's a good thing you have the 100-400. I wouldn't want to get too close to him. As for the purple, I see some both in the eye and on the beak. Definitely subtle.

Great image Melbob! I really like the comp, color, detail and your title seems cleverly appropriate too.

Good work! Especially impressive seeing that it is pretty much "as seen by the camera". Take care, we do not wish the Challenges to lead to injuries, do we? :-) Regards ~jnconradie
