Thanks, Shu, Fly ":^D, Melanie & CJ. Jim, this 'guy' is looking into a huge lobby with a mezzanine toward the back (see pic for reflections). Here's what he looks like from inside, also gives a view of what's across the street, ... a parking lot:

Thanks for the comments, folks. -mikey

Now there's something you don't see every day. Hah! Love the way it's looking into the building. I wonder who has the office right at the bear's nose! Very nice, subtle purple for the challenge. The exposure and preparation of this is just right in a difficult lighting situation. I like the reflections in the glass too. Makes me wonder what's being built across the street :) Jim H.

What a great bear sculpture! I believe Sacramento also has a fund for public art and I really need to drive down the hill and see if I can find some interesting art like this to photograph. Great find Mikey! CJ

I had to do a double-take myself when I saw this guy, Nico. I was in Denver to see a play (The Lion King) which didn't allow photos, so I didn't have my camera, darn!! I HAD TO make a special trip, 79 mile drive, to take these pix. Apparently, the city of Denver has a 1% sales tax in place which is dedicated to an ART fund. Whenever a new city building is built, a request goes out to artists, asking for bids/proposals. This bear was the winner for this new building, the Denver Convention Center. Thanks for the comment, warm fuzzies, -mikey

When I looked at the thumbnail, my first thought was "composite, surely!", but now having had a closer look, I guess I have to accept that there are indeed some purple(!) bears on the prowl in your urban jungles. :-) Great find, Michael. Regards ~jnconradie
