Thanks, again, Jim. :) You didn't miss the original; it wasn't posted. I only spoke about it but it was never available for public viewing. ~ Lonnit

I didn't see the original, but that doesn't matter. I still like this shot. The detail of the reflected background is great. It really does fit the whole shot. And I do love the "gills" with the triangular bottoms. That really stands out. Jim H.

Cool, I see the shark flowing thru the 'Stingray'. --Melanie

Interesting, CJ, that you see teeth, not fins, like the rest of us, but yet you're still in the shark mode.

OH! You know what I just noticed? !!! If you scroll the image down, so you don't see the fins/teeth, and just concentrate on teh word "stingray", you'll see that it looks like a shark is swimming out of the S, and breaking thru the lower left edge of the frame! Then, there's also the reflections, that look watery, like waves or ocean ripples. So, overall, there's an incredibly strong shark/sea thing going on here. Serendipity! As I said, the image is cropped to about half its original width, apparently all these factors were forcing me to smallen, smallen, smallen, until I got to this point, at which the image became magical to me. I was just about to trash it, until I said to myself, "Oh, just one more crop.", and then bammo!, it felt so right and I fell in love with it. :) Oh, now if only I could make such magic intentionally! LOL!

Thanks, Vikas. Yes, the shark fin thing is interesting, b/c the car is a Stingray. It's also not just the obvious "fins", but if you look closely above the "fins" you'll see the vents in the side of the car, which actually resemble shark gills. :) I'm glad you like this one - it instantly became a personal favorite of mine. I think I've been neglecting my minimalistic side, so this was quite satisfying. :) Where's Grant? :(

Nico, yes, indeed, the color IS unreal! LOL! Confession: this was a RED car, but the challenge did not call for red. ;) Oh, and if you're not going to be stunned by EVERY one of my images, then I can't be your friend anymore! LOL! ;) I'm very pleased to have you like ANY of my pictures. :)

While this may be a Stingray, I think of Shark when I look at those 4 triangular "teeth"! LOL! CJ

Fantastic; LOVE this one Lonnit. Those things at the bottom really look like Shark Fins.

Cheers, Vikas.

Hi Lonnit, the colour is unreal... stunning. Somehow, though, it does not have the same emotional "impact" (for me) as your earlier shot. It does not mean there is anything wrong with this one, of course, just that the other one "grabbed" me more. :-) Regards ~jnconradie

Got to love that Canon full-sized sensor! I decided to crop like mad on this one b/c the original wasn't working for me, yet I knew there was a picture in there somewhere. Brought it down to this - it originally included part of the front wheel and half the the driver's door - and still, it's an 8x8 at my usual 240 DPI print. I'm still awed that I own this incredible piece of equipment! ~ Lonnit
