Everytime I look at this I smile. I love the concept.

I did reshoot it. I changed the pose slightly to move the camera to my left eye and into portrait orientation. This gave my face more exposure and light, as well. Now, you're looking at my right eye twice ":^) Thanks for the tips, Victor. I did do some different manipulations with the eye this time, too. What do you think? Smiles, -mikey

I like the reshoot idea. While you're at it, you may want to adjust the black point until the pupil is just about clipped. My favorite way to do this is to add a levels adjustment layer and tweak the levels, each channel separately, by holding down the ALT key and moving the left slider over until the area you want black just appears. Repeat with the other two channels. By doing each channel separately, you eliminate any color cast that may be present in the deep shadows. -- Victor

Haha, it IS ulcerated. It's my right eye, which is much better off than the left. You can SEE the big one on the inside of my left eye in this fuzzy pic. Welding and grinding in earlier years; got hit by a hot chip on that one. I use the safety glasses these days. The "good" eye is just from old age (64 next month), says my doctor. Warmest, -mikey

Thanks for the comment CS. It is a bit weird, eh? Just the 'normal' looking in the mirror with the camera, wasn't that creative, so I didn't post this until I had the afterthought of adding the eye to the lens. I think I might reshoot this to have my eye behind the viewfinder so as to give the impression of the eye coming thru the camera. Warm fuzzies, -mikey

Great 'eye..dea' Mikey, ... Eye think your lens could do with a drop of Dexamethasone or something... looks a little ulcerated? (or it could just be my dusty monitor LOL.) Good post ~ regards Bob

Well, that certainly caught my attention. Great idea, well executed, even if it gives me the willies. :-)) - CameraShy09
