The Window?

Well, I'm off the mark with my first challenge entry.

I saw the DPR thread, and took this about 5 minutes later... maybe a bit hurried, but certainly spontaneous.

Canon EOS 30D ,Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS
1/80s f/4.5 at 28.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Thanks for the comments. I've ditched the other version - I decided I didn't like it after all. It's not easy photographing your own shadow without showing the camera - this was handheld with the camera in my lap! PP virtually non existant other than contrast boost in DPP, plus black/white point adjustment in Photoshop. Many thanks.

Interesting shot Mark - I like this one for the better profile. The other one is a little more 3D looking but I'm not sure about the position of the hand. Good entry! CJ

Welcome, Mark! Great first entry! If you can be this good off the cuff I am sure we will be amazed at an image you had to work for. Love the light in this and the tone is wonderfully different. ~Sharon
