The Window?

Well, I'm off the mark with my first challenge entry.

I saw the DPR thread, and took this about 5 minutes later... maybe a bit hurried, but certainly spontaneous.

Well-done, I really like the composition of the lights and shadows. --Melanie (mlynn)

Thanks for the comments. I've ditched the other version - I decided I didn't like it after all.

It's not easy photographing your own shadow without showing the camera - this was handheld with the camera in my lap! PP virtually non existant other than contrast boost in DPP, plus black/white point adjustment in Photoshop.

Many thanks.

Interesting shot Mark - I like this one for the better profile. The other one is a little more 3D looking but I'm not sure about the position of the hand. Good entry! CJ

I like both of them, but I prefer this one. It is a bit more moody and mysterious. Nice work.

Welcome, Mark! Great first entry! If you can be this good off the cuff I am sure we will be amazed at an image you had to work for. Love the light in this and the tone is wonderfully different. ~Sharon
