Very inventive and I really like the use of the different colors of text echoing the Playdough colors and the tangled mess of the dough. Nice! CJ

A couple of adjustment made: "optical" in place of "infrared", a new web address (the other one had been taken already), no more border, a smoother transition from picture to background, text style changes, etc. It's has been fun and I am appreciative of all the feedback and suggestions. jnconradie, hello. Hey, I think that the problem with type is often that people go way to large with it. Your image needs way more whitespace around it, and the combined type competes too much with the image. I think that this could also be helped with a more interesting font. Also, mixing the different ways that you treat each section of type is just confusing. I would pick a way, drop shadow or not (probably not) to treat the type and stick with it through out.

I am also noticing a blue tint of the shadow of the image. If you did do a drop shadow on the type then you might consider picking up on the tinted shadow of the image. The other thing is the tint of the shadow abruptly ends between the U and T in solutions, and the A in associates. I am assuming this is because it is the edge of the image, I would just blend of transition this so that it doesn't show so much.

No. Sorry. The black border does not work here. There is no black in your "photo". No border is fine. -Cat

Photocat - I tried to get the spacing to the borders more even. Thanks again for that suggestion. It is amazing what a difference that made.

And then I wanted to see if I could figure out how to put a thin black border around it - as per the entries from Vikas, I admit. "Imitation, the sincerest form of flattery", or something like that? :-)

I am still trying to make up my mind whether is actually works for this picture, though. I might still decide to revert back to the border-less version.

Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone. I am flattered. I think you are right, Cat, about the borders. I will post an improved version as soon as I can. Thanks! Regards ~jnconradie

Very creative and catchy! Like it!
Note: It would be even better if the assumed border is same on all sides.
