Hi Traveller, what I did for my own, admittedly crude, attempt was to create a new blank layer. Then, with the blank layer on top, I drew selection boxes around the text I wanted to set against a background. Then I used the 'fill' tool to fill the boxes with a color. At this point the text was obscured by the fill color, so I then dragged the layer with the colored boxes below all the text layers but still above the image layer. Then I had the text set against a solid color. At that point I could have, and probably should have (maybe I still will), adjusted the opacity of the layer with the colored boxes.
Anyway, this seems like a fairly simple technique, but I'm sure there are better ones out there. If you do it differently, could you let me know?
All the best
Alastair
Alastair, driving back from dinner tonight...I think I know what you have in mind. I'll try this again later. I just wanted to lety you know that I'm still thinking about it. Best wishes, Traveller
Good Idea, Alastair, Thanks for the suggestion. But since I don't normally print on Photographs, I'm just pleased that I've learned how to change fonts, color, sizing of fonts...there is much I have to learn, and I'm envious of people that can skew and even add shaddows to their fonts...I'll work on it. Thanks for the encouragement. Best Wishes, Traveller
