I really have no idea of the age of the boxes, as my husband picked them up at tag sales, but I suspect they're not old at all. I agree about the overly bright light on one of the boxes, but I was working with natural light, and the sun and clouds were not cooperating. I may work on it more, but not enough time to do it for this challenge.

What a beautiful and interesting collection, Mary Ann. And the surface (which I cannot quite figure out what it actually is) complement the wooden textures rather well. Good one! [As a suggestion: I thought the lighting on the open lid of the small box in the rear was perhaps slightly harsh compared to the rest.] Are the boxes really as old as they look? Regards ~jnconradie
