The Blue-Eyed Parisian Kitty (Of South Pasadena) * Traveller

What makes this a character study for me is that I did not particularly want to shoot this person....but if I were to shoot her as I ultimately did, I had to include her missing right arm. I found this request to be revealing of her as a person.

Traveller, I've really like this piece since you posted it. It's a dichotomy of now vs then...Starbucks (or any brand) coffee cup/cell phone vs a dated Parisian look. Why did you not want to shoot her at the outset? -Michael

Dear Suse: I understand, but see added explanation to the image above. No head shots for this girl...lol. What I find agravating about this shot is that I did not find it possible to get rid of the coffee cup...I took out lots of white flecks off her black clothing as well as crumbs on the table in PP...but pulling out the cup, I couldn't do.

I was actually there shooting fruits at an open air Thursday market...she wanted her picture taken, so I did, but with her request. In retrospect, I'd shoot her differently today. Best wishes, Traveller

I like this shot, and girl is great, but I find the angle, in terms of a portrait, a little off-putting. Would like to have seen a more level shot.
