Spiral staircase *

The evening sun created interesting shadows on this building just outside Helsingborg, Sweden. Taken through the car window (I was not driving =)). Turned it into b/w and increased shadows.

Thank you for your comments and I agree with the critique. When regarding the shadows in the lower corner; my PS removal skills are really lousy. I guess this should be simple, and if I had more time to prepare for this I might've given it a serious try. If anyone has any tips I'll listen eagerly.

The double-helix spiral staircase shot is kind of a cliche, but for a good reason: it looks really cool. To try to perfect the image (at least perfect it in my eyes) I would remove the shadows at the lower-left, darken the bright reflection in the upper-left, and lighten the sky so the top of the stairway stands out more against it. (I like the Filtered-BW tool in Google's free Picasa 2 program for b/w conversion. It makes it easy to get a good color for skies.) - bee1000

I like this very much, but I do think it could use a slight counter clockwise rotation. -Michael
