Wow!! This one is a mind blower! Then again, talk about a structural subject and I can't think of one that is more impressive that this one. Hummm, ... St. Louis arch anyone? -mikey
"I cannot make up my mind about that light/glow at the bottom"
Me neither...:)!
It's funny how, each I time I review the photo, I am either deeply satisfied with the overall balance or end up thinking "...Ah...if that glow could have been avoided...".It depends on the mood I am in at the time...lol.
Still, as you said, it would have been hard to avoid, specially since it is a "blind-shot" from above a metal grid.
I could "see" the photo but it was physically impossible to use the viewfinder from where I was standing. I just put the camera above the fence and shot a couple of exposures.
...And there are still people who can not comprehend how useful a LCD preview would be, in addition to the traditional viewfinder, on a DSLR...Sheesh...
(...And, on another level, I sometimes also find it interesting to see the source of light that really "makes" the photo, by reflecting on the metal surfaces...)
Definitely not your everyday Eiffel Tower picture! What an unusual entry, PhotoKhan. (I cannot make up my mind about that light/glow at the bottom: does it distract, or does it add to the high-tech feeling...? I guess there was not much one could do about it in any event.) Regards ~jnconradie
