If you're going for a reshoot, you might want to consider having the lower right end going right into the corner of the frame, then the point coming up around the right line of thirds where it meets the edge of the frame, with the lower left edge of the wood falling off the frame at the lower line of thirds where it meets the edge of the frame. But , that's just the way I'd shoot it and I'm not you, nor are you me, or else we'd be we and that simply isn't. :) ~Lonnit

It's technically a very high book case, as I was walking around the house on my knees and looked up. I'm married now, so it's a fairly comfortable/practiced position, especially handy for gear purchasing discussions with the wife.

Anyway, perspective shift got the juices flowing. I tried a bunch of different ways to expose this one, but the way I liked best was blowing out the foreground a little with the onboard flash. It gave this great hard dark edge to the corner, and sharpened the composition nicely. It did kind of leave the ceiling a bit grey, but I kinda liked the subtle geometries of the vignetting, as well as the ceiling line making another triangle in the left middle of the frame. I'm aware it's not perfect perspective, and I'm struggling with whether or not to reshoot, but I kind of like it a little organic. It is, after all, how I found it.

I happen to be viewing them in reverse order, if that makes any difference to you. Ok, you got me on it - I thought I was looking down into a hole until I realized I was looking up a leg, so for optical illusion, you get good points here. Nice color too. Ok, here's wear I start smacking you around.... the background. Ok, so, it's a ceiling. Sorry, but it's just not cutting it. To have such nice rich colors and then toss it against a worthless background... shame on you - total dudsville, man. Crop out that nothingness and if you want nothing there then make it black or white. I do applaud you for being creative enough to roll around on the floor looking for abstracts though! That definitely counts for something. :) ~ Lonnit
