This kind of minimalistic perfection is something that is always close to my heart. Very good. -Arn

I don't think "Lonnit" needs to be embellished in any way ~ ; or ) shu
Canon DSLR Challenge11-Jul-2006 15:38
LOL! Good Shu b/c I've been so shy I was afraid you might not be getting to see the real me! ~ Lonnit (see, I always put the tilda before my name!)
Canon DSLR Challenge11-Jul-2006 12:32
Lonnit--Thanks for the explanation! Now I feel I know the real you! LOL

jn--Not too much on this one--it was taken on a glass table with the reflection being the sky. A little color adjustment on the blocks, the clone stamp for the removal of the "tags," and finally, "image" canvas size, change the anchor to add slightly to the width of the image (be sure to check "relative.") That's it! Thanks for your nice compliment. shu

Shu, another round of congratulations on the "unlabelled" version!

May I ask the "how to get this done?" question? I.e. was it on a glass table-top, what did you use for lighting, any post-processing "tricks" you'd care to share?

Thanks in advance. ~jnconradie

The :D is a big, open mouth smile. The ~ is the way I always sign my name... ~ Lonnit :) and that's another smile. :) And so is this. :) Can I stop explaining now? LOL! ~ Lonnit

And now the labels are gone! LOL - Shu, you've made a great picture even better!
Canon DSLR Challenge10-Jul-2006 00:19
Pops, I managed to hold my tongue on that b/c the image was so otherwise perfect. I too would have rotated the bowls so the labels weren't visible... that is, if I were brilliant enough to come up with this composition in the first place! ;) ~ Lonnit
Guest 09-Jul-2006 23:11
Yea, what everybody else said except - I'd have removed the labels or rotated each dish so the label didn't show. Still a great picture.

No doubt in my mind this was your's, Shu. You are a "gold standard" when it comes to still life...some do it differently, none do it better. -Michael

These square little bowls look great in a square composition, shu! I am really impressed with how well you work with glass, light and refections! ~Sharon
