I too like the way the flowers seem to be exploding from the center. Centaral compotition works here because of the square crop. -Arn

Well I felt compelled to redo this one. ;) The wind was calm but there was less light. Goes to show you can't have everything. I actually like this better, there's something cosmic about it. Thanks to everyone for their encouraging comments. ,,, kt

A great find. And I'd agree with Matt.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Brent, I did notice yours as I made the rounds but I didn't know what it was. Possibly an allium. The giant kind I would think probably make a fairly decent macro of this sort where you need size or to get very close. You are most kind in your comments.

Matt, I believe I understand what you're saying but is it more or less dof? I'm leaning on you meaning more in which case I would agree it would look more like a burst of fireworks. The wind was fairly brisk and these were waving quite a bit so I made the usual compensations. ,,,kt

It is a real eye candy! It would have worked in the previous challenge too.

IMHO, I would use a slightly smaller depth of field to have most of the extremities (at the center of the square) perfectly sharp and that would be perfect! :-)

Matt.

Well done KT. You may have noticed I posted a slightly similar shot titled "Burst" shortly beofore this one. I originally planned to call it "Firework", but changed that at the last minute because it just didn't look like one enough after I got it posted. This one here has a great 3-D effect that really comes at the viewer- truly looks like a firework. I like your cleverness adding "garden" to the title too.

You guys are quick with the comments. I just stepped away for a moment and "fireworks" everywhere. :) Thanks Lonnit and Srini. ,,,kt
