Thanks! I wouldn't have thought of the square crop if not for this contest, but it seems just right to me too, since he's framed by so many squares.
This boy just appeared out of nowhere while I was taking boring shots of rubble in a bombed-out lot, and he posed perfectly and serenely without a word. (Not that I would have understood a word if he'd said one.) I'm still pondering the Mona Lisa smile. It was a paradoxical city -- filled with sadness over the 5,000 people lost in chemical weapons attacks, but also teeming with young kids. An amazing experience.
