Thanks for your comments Shu and Lonnit, I am working on organising a conference and have not been able to get to this forum until now, to respond so apologise for the delay. This shot is a 100% crop from what I initially thought was only fit for the bin because of the extreme reflections. But cropped like this it seems to have a "statue like" character... and the ole' 20D still picks out the detail. Bob

This is a great composition, but it needs to be lightened a bit, IMO. Really nice, tho. shu
