Thanks to everyone for the comments and votes. My first challenge and didn't know what to expect, but it was fun. Good Night!

If Bogdan and I are agreeing, you know it's a damn good image! ;) ~ Lonnit

This is good, moody and plays (pun) the challenge's theme really well.

I have to agree with Lonnit. The soft toning works well and does add to the mood of the shot.

Michael - The chrome is one of my favorite parts of the image too. Thank for your comments

Lonnit - Thanks for such kind words...I think you're giving more credit than I deserve. The posterization does distract from the image. I'll play with it and see if I can't work that out.

Thanks everyone for the comments! ;-)

I'm going to disagree with the others about the softness. I think it's perfect here. It works excellently with the soft tones. If this were BW, I'd probably agree in a heartbeat. It's not BW, though. It's softened with blue and, together with the soft focus, it adds brilliant mood to the image. I'm stongly attracted to the top three pegs and love to see how they change in appearance as they blur approaching the lens. If I was forced to find a flaw, I'd say the only thing you should possibly think about retouching is the bit of posterization in the darker area of the background at the bottom of the image. Other than that, the image is absolutely outstanding; the DOF pure perfection! This is art. :) ~ Lonnit

Really nice idea and well executed conversion (duotone?). Love the feel of the chrome in this toning. Like Cat, I think I'd like a bit more depth of field to the "front" of the image, but that's a minor thing for me and I certainly enjoy it "as is". -Michael

Cat - Thanks for pointing out I forgot the name. ;-)

theFly - He loved it! It was fun...he was playing while my Aunt and Grandmother sang some old songs. They all had a good time with it. Thanks for asking. :-)

Richard, welcome to CSLR challenges! This photo would need a name before the voting day to qualify.
Like the toning and angle. Would have prefered the name in complete focus, especially since that's also the title for this photo. -Cat
