Store Front * Traveller

I actually had to work on this seemingly simple image...highlights higher in the window, bring them down a little in the sign, keep shadows...shadows. (17~85 IS, Hand held at 1/10, asa 400)

other sizes: small medium original auto

This just keeps getting better. It was already disturbingly odd. The meerkat, with that particular look, makes it almost like I'm watching an old cartoon in a strange way. Very odd, and very well done :) Jim H.

Very interesting and well done. That meerkat (?) is looking right back at you. --Melanie (mlynn)

Lastly, I'm thinking of taking the smaller center square and backing it off....maybe a lot. I'm not sure that it isn't a distraction and doesn't add much to the overall image. Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks Cindy and Dorys...I'm trying to apply Jim's advice and see with a B&W perspective...this needed to be B&W, though I do like the way the geometry plays out also...kind of the rule of thirds for the main area of focus with a sort of Modrian, block like Symmetry in surrounding elements. Best Wishes, Traveller

Nice job on this. I can't imagine this shot being any better in color.

This is well seen Traveller 0 the odd juxtaposition of the 2 signs. I have no doubt you had to work on it. Night photography is hard! Cindy
