Hi Jn. You found the right place. It is a historical hotel built in the late 19th and early 20th century. The tower was built as a memorial to one of the Smiley family who built and still owns the hotel. You can see more pictures than you might ever wish here:http://www.pbase.com/ptkitty/mohonk. It's an amazing place and is surrounded by many miles of trails. The Smiley family turned much of the area into a preserve which is now administrated separately from the hotel and its grounds. Ann

May I please ask for a brief explanation of where this "Mohonk Mountain House Tower" is? Google leads me to luxury hotel in the State of New York. Is that were this was taken? Thanks and regards. ~jnconradie

Fantastic, Ann. One of the best architectural "abstracts" I have seen in a long time. I will be spending some more time, gazing at this, trying to figure out what the heck is going on in this shot. Love it! ~jnconradie
