Dam Busting * Traveller

I was actually looking for a Yosemite scan for a different thread and ran across this image. I suppose I'm in a nostalgic mood this evening and besides, I've never posted an image with myself in it, so what the heck. The Back Story to this image is that in 2000, I was in a small Romanian Village and there was some concern that the dam up the valley might burst due to torential spring rains and unless unblocked there would be bad flooding down below...and so two local lads and I went up the valley to open it up...and the water just shot out like a canon everytime I freed up another opening.

Maybe not that Xtreme, but extreme enough for me. (And yes, I got plenty wet and even knocked down once)

... or perhaps to be called "xtremely brave"... or "xtremely reckless", depending on one's point of view. :-)

Thanks for sharing an interesting and very personal experience, Traveller. ~jnconradie

This is v1.2. I've worked on this a little in PS...Pulled out a soda can in the foreground, a slightly tighter crop, the normal things, a little better color balance, etc. Michael, if this doesn't match the topic, just send it over to pending. I'm just playing around seeing what can be done with older but very small scans. Best Wishes, Traveller
