Great, sharp image, Alexig! I just LOVE the fact the scenery on the left and the scenery behind the building (reflection) merge into one continuous image with what is not reflected so seamlessly. The window washer adds a contrasting shape to the round building.

Many thanks, Sharon and Abs.

Sharon: The thought of busy background came to my mind too. Since you have mentioned it I tried to have a look at the result of the tighter crop and somehow I like it less. I feel that this structure needs a bit of context if shown as the whole. But probably, the foreground detail to the left is superfluous.

Abs: No, this is not a composite. But you are right: the dynamic range here is pretty challenging. The first frame which I took came out with compltely washed out sky, so I metered for the sky, recomposed and took a couple of frames more. Out of the camera the shadows looked terribly dark, but it was possible to pull them out in PS.

Yes, I live in what I consider a beautiful place but I travel a bit too. This is taken in about 3 hours flight from here in Barcelona, Spain. This is a great city from all points of view, very worth a visit. So, welcome to Europe, it is full of photographic opportunities (and much else too)

But, you live in a fantastic place too, US has both great cities like NY, SF, Chicago to name just a few and a lot of great nature

What an amazing round building! I love the window washer. The shot seems kind of busy, I think a crop almost to the edges of the building would make the background less distracting. ~Sharon

this is very beautiful (just a bit too saturated for my taste though). nicely exposed. is this a composite of two exposures? it has nice details both in shadows and highlights.
btw i envy you for living in a beautiful place with photo ops like this :) -Abstract
