Yes, Victor: there is a small «valley» between the hill La Giralda stands on and the other one from where I took this picture. But I wanted to make sure I got as much as possible from the trees in the foreground to the mountains in the background within my DOF. And, in addition, the place where I had decided to set my tripod up was a busy outdoor restaurant without the necessary calm to «work» well (e.g. checking one’s viewer properly in much dimmer light than the processed photo suggests). So I used this f-stop just as a—maybe exaggerated?—«insurance policy». — db.

Great first entry. I'm curious about your vantage point. There's nothing in the close foreground, so I'm guessing you were on a hill of some sort. Considering how far the nearest subject matter is, do you think f/20 was really necessary? If you stop down too far, you'll get softness from diffraction. -- Victor
