You probably wouldn't have a problem unless you tried to sell the images. It is in a public space isn't it? As long as you are not standing on private property they can't stop you from taking pictures. If you like I can give you a link to a lawyer's site who has a list of things photographers are allowed to do and what they aren't. You would be surprised what is still legal in this country for us to shot, photographically that is! Meanwhile, I like this iamge a lot! A great way to get a fish-eye shot without the lens! I read the same thing and I don't believe they have a leg to stand on, but it is hard to argue with a cop with a gun.

That thing is amazing. I remember reading somewhere that the bean and any photos taken of it were copyrighted somehow and that they'd try to bust you if they caught you photographing it. How has that turned out? Jim H.
