Ann, I'll take a stab. Your image has very little contrast in lumination. Much of the detail is in hue contrast. The medium resolution, in addition to being smaller, has a higher compression ratio. Color information is compressed more than lumination, hence the muddy look. -- Victor

Thanks! Rob I took your advice and lowered the saturation. I think it looks better. Sure does look awful when viewed medium though. I wonder why that is. Thanks for the idea. Ann

Ann, this is a great job, its been bringing me back time after time. (*) i would desaturated a little though, the red and blue crop each other, that said t you have done a great job of keeping that cropping down -well done.
