I like your use of the Midnight filter here. It enhances the image nicely without being overwhelming. Nice treatment! ~Sharon

Hey! how did you know I call it the Monster?
Canon DSLR Challenge04-Feb-2006 02:45
I'll take some of that action! :) Hey, Joey Baby, I didn't know you were a Nik cheater like me. LOL! I just LOVE the quality of the silvers in this image. WOW! I will drool over your 20D and Grant's monster for only a few more days - just ordered my FIVE-DEEEEEEEEEE today!!!! Oh baby! ~ Lonnit

I would maybe consider a threesome...

OK, Moose, then lemme have your 1DS-II. I'll wear your ring and your letterman's jacket if you just let me sleep with your camera. Deal? --Mr. Biscuit

I love you.

Mr. Biscuit, this is what is so nice about the Challenges....it forces you to take pictures. So what if it was a throw away shot from your Hotel Balcony? You've made this sing! And gorgeously. Best Wishes, Traveller

Traveller: Sorry I missed your question previously. Yes, there is a filter applied, the Midnight filter from the Nik Color Efex collectionhttp://www.nikmultimedia.com/index/usa/entry.php). Did it on a separate layer so I could tune opacity and selectively lighten the effect (with a layer mask) where it created unflattering artifacts. --Mr. Biscuit

Hey Phil, very astute. Düsseldorf late last week and some of the weekend. You can see the Steigenberger Parkhotel in one of the reflections. Whirlwind business travel with few opportunities to shoot. This was taken from my hotel room balcony just before catching a cab for the airport. I waved at you, iso, Peter Wood, and other UK penpals as I over-flew the mother country.

Looks like you're being a well-travelled cookie, Mr B.
Germany?

What I really like is the soft glow. I presume there is a filter for this nice effect? Best Wishes, Traveller

there is something I really like about this shot. Not really sure I can put my finger on it. I guess it is the three silver cars.
* Just a thought, have you considered cropping it square with only the three silver cars?
