Kudos on the making of less trash. :) I was sitting at a traffic light, on a windy day, last week, and watched, helplessy, as the wind scooped up and deposited a plastic grocery bag high in a tree. The thing will be there for years, probably. They don't rot, and once entangled in the branches, they just don't fall down. Hideous, really. :( So, you get a pat on the back for that. I use recycled paper bags and then use them to dispose of my recycling items.

Why not leave Bry & Rick home, for some father/daughter time, and they can bring in a pizza. Go yourself, and then when you get home, Bry and Rick can work together to bring in and unpack all the groceries - since they got to have some nice leisurely time while you were out. Then, you get a break, and perhaps some pizza, while you sit at the table and chat with them as they work. This will also enable you to direct where things go - husbands seem to have no difficulty finding the items when they want them, but can't seem to figure out where half of them go when it's time to put them away! LOL! I definitely find it easier/faster to do the shopping myself. I go at 8:30 in the morning, after dropping the kids off at school. I'm home and unpacked by 9:45. :) ~ Lonnit

Yeah, these are my grocery shopping bags. I've done away with disposable plastic bags now.
Why is it chaotic? I work til 5.30pm, then I collect Bry from home, making sure she's presentable...then we meet Rick at the mall and have a lovely dinner together in the food court. The food is disgusting. Then we shop for groceries. I argue with Bry about pushing the cart, Rick rides the cart like a 5yo and I try to get it over with as fast as possible. We come home and then have to carry 10 bags of groceries up a flight of 13 stairs, through the living area, into the kitchen AND put them away. By then, I'm about ready to drop! LOL! So my grocery bags represent Friday evening chaos and exhaustion. But if I put it off til the weekend, it cuts into my allocated photography time.

I thought shopping bags as well. I'm assuming you're talking about grocery shopping, no? Why is that so hectic? ~ Lonnit

Just a wild guess: shopping bags? Looks like we're looking down on a bunch of them all pressed together, with the handles in the foreground. As an aside, I no longer go to the stores just to avoid the chaos of the parking lots.

Lonnit, this is one of the chaotic moments of the week for me. Each and every week. Do you know what the photo is of?

Um, er, Gayle.... I think you're still on the dominant color challenge! Did I ruin your brain? LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit
