I am creating a EF 35mm f/1.4 site and requires some illustration on its light gathering power. This picture is good. Can I have your permission to use it ? Credit and link will be provided.

Oh Lord, take me outside and beat me with a stick...I thought it was a Television full of Static...lol. But now a true point from my heart, and I don't mean this badly, but I probably would not have voted for the image, substituting Mystery instead, had I realized that this was a heater and not a TV. LOL and Sigh.....best wishes, Traveller

ISO,

I just thought that the single very modern heater contrasting with the older space made a strong image. But all that is really secondary, to the light captured on her face.

Don't burn down the house. Then you would have to change the song title to something by the Talking Heads. 8-)

I actually disagree re the chair...there is a nice natural tension between the modern chair, the TV and the old floor and setting. FWIW Best Wishes, Traveller

I know what you're saying. Fact is this is just an office that has been stripped for refurbishment, so its just an office chair as it was there. Making the best of my environment and objects to hand. We could equally argue that the halogen heater is much more modern than the chair :p

I'll try burning some logs on the floorboards and see what happens LOL!

Yes, Lee, I think you've nailed it. Unusual for Iso to miss a detail like that (I can only think of the clean trainers in a previous challenge), but the modern chair just doesn't fit the mood.

love the results!

* But i don't like your choice of chairs. seems like it needs something with four legs and more fitting with the age of the room. just a thought.

Wow. I've always thought sitting by a fire was supposed to be warm and cozy. You've totally shattered that fantasy. This image leaves me saddened. Excellent. You always have such a fresh view.

Pops - The floor is probably about 100 years old :) Shu - its an electric fire, not a TV hence the title.......

Aaah, he's not the almighty, he's just a clever boy ;-)
And boy, am I glad yo see you back. Excellent pic, you have such intersting spaces to work in!

Ooooh, is right!! I never would have thought to use a TV! The lighting is "squisito." You really are the Almighty, aren't you! shu

I recognise that railing form the picture "cuppa" from long long ago in a galaxy far far away. Very nice. Why do the floors in english houses look like they are 100 years old? It does add a lot of character to this image.

Ohooooooo, Ouch (...lol...) you're going to win this sucker again, aren't you? Just....great. I don't know how you find these great subjects and moods. Only a moment ago I had some kids in the office from some emergency work this morning and I thought of shooting them, but I couldn't. Work is work, the Challenges are the Challenges and fun. But this from you is just sooooo fabulous! Best Wishes, Traveller
