Photographically, it's decent enough, though I'm not the biggest fan of harsh shadows. But the youth of the model gives me pause given the fact that the front of her dress has gone missing. So if the intent was to strike an emotional chord, you did so in spades.
Overall, it works well and captures the emotion and message. I do have a bit of a problem with the shadow in the corner of her right eye. It's so hard-edged. The nose shadow is as well, but it doesn't distract me like the eye. Overall, excellent capture though. :) ~ Lonnit
I suppose on purely photographic terms, I prefer Stare it Cold...the triangle of the face filling the frame...and a very pretty face it is. But this image, maybe because she is less pretty, the pose, the props, all of it, have more emotional impact for me. Is this a more ambitious image and conception? How do you feel, iso, about these competing pictures? (with you, iso, it is always a q of choosing between great and greater_. Best Wishes, Traveller
