Frozen December (*)

This is a soap bubble beginning to freeze as it nestles in the frosty grass. I found the song title through a google search. Apparently it is a Christmas song. I've not actually heard of it before.

Really beautiful, Ann. The image really delights me on all counts, the very idea of the subject (it never occurred to me that soap bubbles freeze) right through your expert execution. -Michael

I was in Sweden on Christmas Day. You most likely wouldn't find a scene like the aforementioned in Denmark.

Thanks for the comments. Olaf, I looked at your pictures. Beautiful. The scene down the road looks so much like the road near Mt Baker it made me wonder if you took it here. But I know you are in Denmark so most likely not. ;-) Traveller, I got this idea from my brother. His ex-wife tried it at their home in California and took some nice close-up photos of just the bubble freezing. When I saw this morning frost I decided to give it a try. This was one of my favorites from that shoot. Ann

Very nice Ann. The image has a unique Chistmas quallity to it too. On Christmas day I shot a few shots of rime on grass and leaves too, see the first three images here:http://www.pbase.com/olafdk/misc
