Lonnit, I just recalibrated my monitor a week ago so yeah, err, I am probably just that much more anal than you :-) I have no doubt that what I am seeing is just the slightest hint of a reflection in the water, now that I understand the blossoms are floating. It does not detract from this exquisite image at all and if I could write my comment over again, I wouldn't mention it. -Michael
I wasn't sure if this was an optical intrusion or not. I just pulled it into PS and there is indeed, no solid black in the main image. The only solid black is in the border. Michael, yes, next to the topmost flower, to it's right is a bulge of pink. The lower right corner has the slightest pink haze to the entire area between flower and border. It's not all that detectable unless you're really looking for it. I didn't notice it when I first looked at the image b/c my eyes stayed on the flowers. Knowing your high standards, I'm not shocked that you're the one to pick off the barely detectable hint of it. I am wondering though, if your monitor is set at just a slightest iota of a tad of a smidgeon bright. And I do mean that on the faintest hint of a bit! Or, are you truly that much more anal than I? LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit
Thanks All. Michael, I guess I need to caliberate my monitor, dont see the pinkish hue. Although I guess it is entirely possible as these LOTUS flowers were in a dark bowl of water at the entrance to a house and the lighting was terrible (took this at ISO 1000) so assume that the pink of the flowers was reflecting in the water which may be showing on your monitor. I think I need a new monitor now. :-)
Cheers, Vikas.

Yup, really a stunner. I particularly like the arrangement of blossoms within the frame on the solid black background. What kind of blossoms are these?
(*) On my monitor, I see a pinkish hue to some of the black background on the right side of the blossoms next to the border. Since I noticed it and felt a need to point it out, I think that means I'd prefer a solid black. Was this intentional or perhaps an artifact of my monitor? -Michael
