Clever idea Phil. I agree that there should be a tad more detail in the pod (or plate?). I am also not a fan of the frame. Overall this is a great shot though.

Thanks all, yes, I'm feeling pretty inspired lately - about time, frankly! I do have other shots of this with the background peas better defined, but I don't actualy feel they work as well. Matt: yes, it does look like it's levitating - I guess it doesn't take many fibres to hold 1 pea! Phil

I would also like to see some more detail in the background peas, great idea though and like the simple contrast between the green and white. Nice shot. Richard Adams

Nice job, Phil. Strong composition and excellent use of color. (*) I think I'd like to see just a tiny bit more DOF for a wee more detail in the background peas, that's my gut instinct. -Michael
