I don't know if the picture has been modified since originally uploaded, but I will say that a repeating, tapering subject like this, when parallel, appears to diverge. This is an optical illusion. If these were my pictures, I'd rotate the left one slightly clockwise and the right one slightly counterclockwise, the same way the architects of the parthenon angled the pillars. -- Victor
Ahh the sins of a wide angle shooter....lol. I did have a version prefered by Sharon, here:
But in the triptych configuration it didn't seem to work...plus, I purposefully kept the lower colors muted for a 1940's kind of look, or so I hoped...lol. You may also note that in image #1 I did clone out the side frame street lights, but I ran out of time last night and was tired (smile).
These (this?!) is great, Traveller! I do agree with what Mr. Biscuit said, plus, I think this would be a lot more dramatic and focus our attention on the top of the building and its light better if the images were cropped just over the greenish streetlights. In other words cut out the city street and all of its light so that our eye is drawn up the tower. Well seen! ~Sharon
I like it, but my eyes want the vertical straightened (i.e. rotated slightly CCW). Also, seems the whitespace should be even around the margins; too much between the images themselves, and it diverts viewer attention somewhat. --Mr. Biscuit
