The Life of Pholcus phalangioides

My flat, Germany

Pholcus phalangioides is a rather famous spider for its dancing beneath the ceiling in your living room. I was lucky enough to be able to follow a "family" through the important parts of development.

Pentax *ist DS ,Pentax DFA 100 Macro
I used an external TTL flash, bounced, RAW converted with RSE. The images of the small youngsters were done with an additional macro converter. full exif

Hi Bee! Thanks, glad you like it. :)) And yes, the detail of the youngsters is lost in this resolution. However, as the adults are more contrasty due to their coloured bodies, I put the emphasis on them. Really nice series well presented. Awesome capture on the right, espeically. I assume we're losing the detail of the smaller images because of the low resolution. That's a shame. bee1000
