The Life of Pholcus phalangioides

My flat, Germany

Pholcus phalangioides is a rather famous spider for its dancing beneath the ceiling in your living room. I was lucky enough to be able to follow a "family" through the important parts of development.

Pentax *ist DS ,Pentax DFA 100 Macro
I used an external TTL flash, bounced, RAW converted with RSE. The images of the small youngsters were done with an additional macro converter. full exif

Thanks, glad you like it. :)) And yes, the detail of the youngsters is lost in this resolution. However, as the adults are more contrasty due to their coloured bodies, I put the emphasis on them. If you or anyone else is interested in larger pics of the youngsters, they are on my page:

Really nice series well presented. Awesome capture on the right, espeically. I assume we're losing the detail of the smaller images because of the low resolution. That's a shame. bee1000
