Thanks! I darkened the righthand corner. It's still not 100% but darker than the original. It is a vase and the contours catch the light, but I didn't want to crop it too narrow because I thought it would throw off the composition. shu

Shu, This is great...I like the curves and simplicity...I am beginning to feel that this is what I should be striving for...this is a great example I think! I also like the way you've done the lighting.... Cheers.. :-D PS...there seems to be a "lighter patch" on the black portion in the upper region of the photo! is that my monitor/intentional/?
