Ok so you say the sky is too much for this challenge,a matter of opinion.
I could have constructed this at home on the dining room table with a white napkin.......bloody boring I say, instead I chose to go out for the day find something simple and set about taking a shot in a way that none of the trees ,bushes and other distracting elements stood in the way.
By getting low to the ground and looking up the mound, those elements disappeared and the Obilisk stood out there in the corner,on it's own ,pointing to the sky,to be minimilistic it is not essential to strip everything back to lack lustre plainnest but to reduce it to a point that is still pleasant to the eye, easy to look at and obvious to the viewer as to what they are seeing.
Graphics and shapes on a board is the art form, but being the photographic form is a little different...........it needs to be more than just a piece of lifeless cardboard with a few colours.
just my opinion.
