Cindy, this is fantastic. Beautiful fog and reflections. You motivate me to try a similar shot sometime

Lovely piece, Cindy. I like your choice to fill the top of the frame with mist and use only the reflection of the mountain. -Michael

Any time Ann! Actually I would love to come up your way sometime too. And Gary Woodburn is in Victoria and Julio is in Vancouver . . . :) Cindy

Hi RK. I used a tripod for most of the shots this morning, but not all. I don't shoot panos on a tripod so I took the cam off for the pano and then I shot a few handheld. I don't remember if these were on a tripod or not. Cindy

Thanks people!

RK, Here is another shot showing the top too: http://www.pbase.com/cindyd/image/52164576 I know the 'norm' would be to shoot the mountain and the opposite reflection. And I did do that. However, I was going for a little different take on the typical reflection shot with this one. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. Just wanted to do something a little different.

David, while true I have nothing to complain about regarding photo ops around here . . . .the number of shots I'm disappointed in tells me I have a long way to go. The other issue is the environment is so stunning that I'm usually do not feel I capture it the way it makes me 'feel'. So living in such a beautiful place is a double-edged sword in a way. It doesn't necessarily make photography 'easy'. But I appreciate your comment :)

Thanks bunches! Cindy

NO FAIR! You have a virtual winner in every shot you take, and you just have to look out of your front door!!!! Another great shot! You should submit some of your work to some tourism bureaus for the state...then again, you might not want to so you can hang on to your serenity out there...nice work.

Cindy, this is lovely shot. Looks like oil on canvas...very artistic. For some reason, I want to see more of the top.
