Olaf - Thank you for your very helpful comments. I like the result much more than my original. Honestly, I wasn't even sure I would be posting this. I only had one chance to shoot the team as they passed. Their practices start in the dark and end just before sunrise. I was afraid I wouldn't have enough light to shoot by at all. I hope to have another chance to try it, but it won't happen until after the challenge is over.
Chris - Yes it is by the Riverside tennis courts. I promised the coach I'd send him any photos that looked decent. You sound like you've had some experience with this sport. - CameraShy09

What an excellent example of making the best of a challenging lighting situation - great shot! With that said, I must also say that I think it is far too magenta (more than habenuf magesta, lol). I tried to adjust it and liked the result of the following: First a Selective Color adjustment layer with -100% on the magentas. On top of that a Color Balance adjustment layer with the following settings: Green midtones +8, Green highlights +16 and finally +6 on the red highlights as well, to warm up the yellow of the boat, while 'Preserve Luminosity' was on.
Riverside Park across from the tennis courts? I used to live right over there when I lived in Wichita. You really captured the speed. This one would be a good one to show the team as you can see how out of sync and form that they are. Chris
