Not knocking a noble cause at all, but I have to go with Lonnit as this one is probably an image that demonstrates how well this untitled challenge is working. You were there for real. And its obviously a subject that is close to your heart judging by your previous entries. This picture means something to *you*. No title, and no accompanying story - its just a picture of a lady with a microphone to all of us viewers.

Hi Lonnit, thanks for taking a look at the other photos - which actually are accompanying a story and are linked from the story. A link to the story from the photos is also given. - Kelly

Kelly, Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a noble cause. The photos you took are nice. They'd all look good accompanying an article on her and the group. Sometimes an image needs to be supported by a title. This is one of those cases. There's not enough information in the image itself to let us know what's going on, so it needs some story for support. Since we didn't have a story, we needed to see the crowd, or something, perhaps that banner behind her, to let us know what was going on. ~ Lonnit

Hi Lonnit,

This is a shot of one of the world's most courageous, compassionate and conscientious people speaking to a crowd of over 300 in Brunswick, Maine. Since 1996, she and her group have nonviolently challenged the US and UN imposed sanctions against Iraq by bringing desperately needed medical supplies to a country that has lost over a million children due to our government’s policies.

She spoke passionately about the mothers in Iraq; the limbless mother whose baby suckled only with the aid of someone else's arms; another mother who had to explain to her limbless child when asked if he would always be this way; and another whose eight-hour-long hand resuscitation of her newborn in critical need of an incubator ceased after her child died. Her name is Kathy Kelly.

Sorry Kelly, the subject just does not hold my interest. One question though - is that Guatemalan fabric she's wearing? I sell baby slings made of fabrics like that. Where was this taken and what was the event? ~ Lonnit
