So well done... I like how you've been able to keep a 3d look to the cracked portion (white highlight on one side and dark on the other). I think the toning if very nice... good range from white to black. BUT it is the creativity that really rocks!

I kind of like the non-seamless background here, it makes the photo more 3d dimensional, like you actually see it's sitting on some sort of table or stand in the spotlight. Like iso, my only nitpick is the right hand shadow.

Michael, I agree with the niggles but what a great concept! I don't think I can ever eat another omelette! - Paul

Great shot, Michael!! I like the concept and I like the placement of the egg in the frame. A more seamless background would have helped (roll paper?) IMO but, I also like this the way it is! Markjay

how neat is that! also like the b/w treatement and lighting adds a little touch of mystery.

Michael, I love pictures of eyes, and this one is amazing. (though I think I will have to swear off of eggs for a while because of it!) Very well done! E-

Soooo freaky! Fantastic job. :) The shell pieces would be a good idea; it doesn't feel lacking without though. I'm with Iso on the right shadow as well. So incredibly well done and well thought out. Very creative. Kudos! ~ Lonnit

Michael! - I love this; can I get a dozen?

One idea looking at this occurs to me: maybe have the missing shell pieces near the base of the egg as if they've fallen.

This is brilliant. Would have been nice to kill the right hand shadow completely though. Very nice PS work and a fun idea.

Oh, crap I just saw this, but have eaten breakfast yet, oh yea I don't eat eggs. One time, I opened an egg and there were two yokes in it, that freaked me out. If I opened this one I, and the poor little thing is sad, I think I would wet my pants. Nicely done, I keep staring at the damn thing to see if it will blink. I like the lighting. Wonder if this was centered what feeling that would give? Chris
