Habenuff Magesta? *

Escondido, CA

Why imitate one picture?

Admittedly, my original concept did not include the bear. But I figured I would go with the flow.

Thanks for the comments, folks. When I first conceived of the imitation challenge idea, I had thoughts of imitating two Vikas images in one, doing the pose of Death at 17 while holding a rubber cobra in the hand, instead of the pill bottle. I also had the pink Speedo idea that so horrified Earl.

Although it really fails to mimic "Death at 17", that is the inspiration behind this image. I went through several iterations of how I was going to compose it, adding more elements (red bra, gas mask) as I went along. I *was* going to try and have live model, but decided to join the Bear Movement. The Magesta Beer was a last minute idea. I did realize that my label color choice did not work well with Monochrome... live and learn.

Hmm, the tonings been fixed now. The gear list speaks of Biscuit, but his work is normally PP'd differently. Still guessing here.

I don't think a female shot this then. BTW, Victoria's Secret fitters don't work with bear breasts. BEAR breasts!!! HO HO HA HA....! Sooooorry, I'm ok now. Definitely this is a guy thing. This is really kind of a Grant thing, but it doesn't really look like his style. The level of psychoticism is about right though! Maybe Biscuit, but Biscuit doesn't shoot as warped as he speaks - which is probably a very good thing. ;) LOL! ~ Lonnit

Naah, it's not me. I don't have a lens that goes to 17mm.
Great work though whoever did it!

I'll avoid the obvious congrats on such an epic work, and concentrate on (*). On my monitor, around the goggles and filter area of the mask, there is a patchy part of toning. This has more red (majesta?) in it. Looks like there was some dodging/burning going on here after the image was toned and it has brought the colours out to be different than the rest of the sepia.

I would even say it was a 'decisive moment' when I was holding the bear up by the arms while the Victoria's Secret employee was testing the fit of the bra.

OH DIRT! I didn't even realize that was a bra. I was wondering why the red shirt, and thinking it was distracting. Toooo funny! So is this a Biscuit? Would only a Biscuit be this demented? LOL! ~ Lonnit

Do you like the red bra Lonnit? I even took the bear to the store with me when I bought it, to make sure I would get one that fit.

I wish it was a littl brighter. Had to see everything. Great job in combining several different photographs! theFly

This is really getting out of control! Which of you psychos did this one? Is this Gayle? ~ Lonnit

Well, I count 5 images that this one pulls from. Anyone get more than five? I especially like the "Magesta" beer. E-
