Trying for an Angela Johnson photo. http://www.pbase.com/ziggers
One of my faves.

My first attempt at backlighting glass. It was quite exciting! I learned a lot.

Thanks everyone, Lee, Lonnit, Vikas and Gayle. I highly admire all your work so if you say it's really good then I'm highly honored. I wanted to post another photo from the same session in the Untitled gallery but that would give me away. It's fun to stay anonymous for a bit, I'll come out and admit who I am if anyone guesses correctly but I suppose that isn't too easy because this isn't the norm from me but some of you know my style better than others so may be you'll get lucky. This is gorgeous, and even though it's an imitation of Angela's photo, it stands alone as a superb shot by an obviously talented photographer.

Wow! That's beautiful. Great backlighting and the way you've positioned the glasses made really neat refractions and shadows inside each bowl. I particularly like the rich stark contrast. I'm incredibly flattered. You even managed to do a frame effect like I used to -- nice touch to a stellar shot.
