Amy, ah, I've got it. I rescind my, ahem, (*) helpful suggestion. That's the kind of wonderful detail which shows nicely in a print but doesn't necessarily translate into smaller web sized images. It's a very powerful image and mine was indeed a minor nit. -Michael

Michael,
I was going to remove the red box, but upon closer inspection I decided not to (it's a box of Advil). It just seemed like part of the "American" message.

A really tough message, Amy, made even more poignant by your excellent delivery. (*) I'd clone out that little touch of bright red on the right side...it pulls my eye away from the subject. -Michael
Evan from across the pond, I appreciate the sentiment in this. Great street photography telling things how they are.

Good job. It is almost too good to be true in that there is a flag on the wheelchair, really helps tell the story. I think the composition is really nice, one little nit-pick would be the tangent (or near tangent) between the foreground column and the one to the right side of the door, seems like a little more space one way or the other would be nice.
I am also wanting to see ever so much more of this person, I am trying to look around the corner more, makes the image compelling. Such fraile looking legs, so many questions, good job. Chris
