Jim, great photo! It really give me that "Willy Wonka" room feel. It was very clever of you to get a cat that matches the color of a box so well. Another very nice frame makes for the perfect presentation. E-
Thank you for the comments and the suggestion. I've sort of struggled with this shot. When converting from RAW, this is one of the very few photos where I've actually turned the saturation down. Not much, but just a bit because the brown was just too intense. This cat is amazing. She is a very funny-looking cat when you see her "in person". She's chubby and all of her appendages seem too short. But when you take her photo, it just always ends up looking cute. I'm wondering if you thought that the cat's right side should be darker, or if you were wanting me to try to eliminate some of the almost "burned" look on the viewer's right side of this shot? I've struggled with that too. On the one hand, I wanted to emphasize the shadow and light theme, but on the other, even though technically, her left (our right) isn't burned out, it just seems too bright to me too. A touch of burning there might help with that. Jim H.
Great shot! A very clever and fun photo. The color of the box complements the cat's coat color. Very nice perspective and composition. (*) I would use the Burn Tool to darken the left side of the cat's face, not too much, just a bit.
